1-how can you identify what your job responsibilities are?
It is important that you know your job responsibilities, work within your position specifications and clarify work instructions where necessary.
• Seek regular support and supervision from your supervisor through supervisory sessions and bring any situations to the attention of your team leader.
• Seek advice from work colleagues through consultation and staff meetings.
• Look to professional guidelines for scope of practice in other settings.
• Seek to have your position description clarified and/or have it include reference to professional standards or legislative provisions.
• Seek to have your competencies assessed and/or recognised.
• Ensure that all major work activities are accurately documented/recorded.
• Consult with representatives from groups such as unions and professional bodies regarding the appropriateness of job role

2-who can you seek assistance from if you require support in your role
under the Regulations the Approved (service)provider is required to appoint an educational leader to...guide other educators in their planning and reflection, and mentor colleagues in their implementation practice (ACECQA,2011,P.85)

3-why should educators follow policies and procedures in the workplace
writing policies and procedures takes time, but it is good time spent.not only it is a matter of good practice,it will assist in establishing the service as a professional organisation.where policies are applied and adhered to,they will promote a level of consistency amongest the staff, parents and the children.
Dealing with staff on a consistent basis promotes harmony and will contribute to reduced turnover in the service.A childcare service that has written its own policies and procedures is likely to be more efficient and effective in delivering their service, compared with a service that has replicated/copied a document from another service. Not having policies and procedures in place can result in having to resolve the same issue each time it arises.

4-list some ways you can carry out tasks in a positive and courteous manner
children's service educator need to carry out tasks in a positive and courteous manner as this industry is peoples oriented and based on developing trusting relationships with parents, children and the community etc.the educator will not be nice always and super happy,as this is unrealistic, but should endeavour to demonstrate a professional positive attitude
It is critical that the candidate demonstrate the ability to: • Carry out work within own role, responsibilities and organisation objectives in an effective manner • Interact in a cooperative manner with both individuals and work groups In addition, the candidate must be able to effectively do the task outlined in elements and performance criteria of this unit, manage the task and manage contingencies in the context of the identified work role These include the ability to: • Demonstrate application of skills in: • awareness and understanding of effective teams operation • time management and work planning • basic negotiation • effective communication and interpersonal relationship • safe and effective use of relevant information technology in line with OHS guidelines

5-what are some resources you may use in a service?how can you make sure you do not have resource shortag
some of the resources that may be required are,but not limited to:
• disposible gloves for cleaning
• tissuess for children
• paint/paint brushes
• books
• megazines
Being prepared for experiences that are organised for the children is important.educators should become familiar with where these resourcesare stored so that they may access them readily.understanding the purchasing procedures is helpful for prepration.Morning checks are a good way of seeing what is required for the dayand ,if necessary, purchase what my be needed ahead of time
we should do this according to the system our services uses, some of the methods could be:
• emo to supervisor
• listening on the staff white board
• writing in a staff communication book
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6-list some ways you can keep your areas organized and safe according to service policies
educators have a duty of care to keep the service environment well organized an safe.Housekeeping is an importent part of WHS.it means keeping the work area clean and tidy without obstructions to walk ways or exits.this is an on going process that involves individual childhood educators taking responsibility as well as cooperationbetween staff.Policies and procedures are in place within a service for a reason.understanding these will assist in safety aspects of the service.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7-how can you monitor your own work
Honesty is required when monitoring your own work performance;an educator will need to be able to look closely at all work practices and the way in which they complete the tasks expected of them and the way they are recorded in the job (or position)description.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8-why must you communicate with your supervisor if you are unable to complete the task
communication with your supervisor is encouraging support. when an educator is informing their supervisor of the in ability to meet a specific work requirement, they may be identifying an area that can receive support from other staff members.
the supervisour may also tke this opportunity to encourage or organise professional development training.it may be a time to look at the specific jon role and its work requirements.some organisations may look into time management practices and have training in house to prevent poor time managment

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10-why should you take opportunities for support offered by your supervisor
Educator requre spport within their role in children's services.with change to regulations that needs of children, requests from parents and daily tasks to be performed, requesting support is encouraged.the need for assistanceis normalit does not mean a person is not performing well.it may just be a temporary support whilst tasks are organised better,or more efficiently.
