CHCPRT001 - Child Protection Legislation & The Impacts On Educators

Post by shasza69 » Sun Feb 08, 2015 1:05 pm

my Q is list the child protection legislation that applies in your state or territory.Briefly explain how the legislation impacts on the work you do .

this is my answer so far .the welfare & best interest of the child is paramount
the preferred way of ensuring a child's welfare is through support of the family.
intervention is not to exceed the level necessary to protect the child.
family participation in planning & decision making regarding Aboriginal, Torres straight islander children
children & families have a right to information
services are to be culturally appropriate
co-ordination, consultation & collaboration with families, other professionals, agencies & the community
accountability of the department

Q just not sure how to answer the impact of the work you do.
