CHCIC301E - Scenario: Eating In Front Of The TV

Post by Rhiannon09 » Thu May 21, 2015 8:16 am

melissa cant understand why jenny and sarah, bith aged seven, get so upset when she allows two of the older girls to eat their sandwiches in front of the television. she explained that it is a special show that the girls have been waiting to see. they dont have enough time to eat at the table (which is usaul practice) watch the program and do their homework before netball practice. she explains to them that its a special occasions but jenny and sarah continue to protest it isnt fair. melissa ends up getting very annoyed with them.

question: are melissas expectations realistic?
answer: no melissas expectations are not realistic.

question: do you think that jenny and sarahs recognition of the limits and guidelines was a positive behaviour that should be acknowledged?
answer: i said yes they should be acknowledged but unsure of what else to add

thank rhiannon

You're on the right track. Since the girls are still sitting at the table to eat while the older two watch TV to eat the girl should be acknowledged for their positive behaviour even though it isn't fair. Since both these girls are continuing to follow the guidelines they should also get one night to eat in front of the TV as well...

Hope this helps,
