CHCIC301E - Jarred & David - Going First On The Bikes

Post by Rhiannon09 » Wed May 20, 2015 1:25 pm

jarred and david are both age five, are arguing over who should have the first ride of the new bicycle. jarred argues that he is older then david, so he should go on the bike first. david insist that he should go first because he can ride it better then jarred. geoff, their educator, sees that they are having difficulty reaching compromise and says, i think you two are having some trouble trying to decide who should go first. the two boys agree with him. geoff suggest that they each have a turn og going first. one can go first on the bike this morning and the other can go first when rhey come out to play again in the afternoon. jarred says he will go first now and let david go first in the afternoon. david agrees.

question 1: are geoffs expectations realististic?
answer: yes i believe geoffs expectations are realistic

question 2: do you think geoff provided a positive option to encourage cooperation?
answer: yes, geoff suggested both boys have a turn of the bike first.

question 3: what positive behaviour could geoff comment about the children at the end of the day?
answer: well done jarred and david im very pleased by both of you agreeing to have a turn on the bicycle first... not sure if im on the right track??

question 4: what limits or guidelines do you think geoff may need to apply if the chidren do not follow this plan?
answer: are limits like rules? not quiet understanding

thankyou rhiannon

Yes, you're on the right track with your responses...

Q3: "It's been good to see you that you each waited for your turn to go on the bikes and came to agreeing on who should go first. You should be very proud of yourselves".

Q4: Yes, basically what should happen if the boys don't agree and still continue to fight to go first.

Hope this helps,

:geek:,
