Some others I can think of quickly are; felt boards where chn can make up their own, or tell a well knows story using felt pics, same for magnet board stories.
Category cards; eg: have a card with a category of say: food - and children each give you a food they now, same for colours, transport etc.
Finger puppets are a good language activity as are fingerplays.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
