Kids Playing Areas / Interest Areas

Below is a list which consists of interest areas for children. "Interest areas" are a key factor in developing a child's development through play. In a childcare setting, these interest areas are mainly setup in the indoor physical environment and in some homes these play areas are often setup in a child's room (however not all of them). Each of the interest areas I have covered will give you detailed information on the benefits the child will gain through playing in the specific interest areas. I hope this will give you a better understanding of how important play is as part of a child's early development...so instead of turning on the T.V...PLAY!
