Need help with some questions please?
1. How do you use routines to extend children’s language?
2. What opportunities would you provide for children to listen to and respond to language?
3. How would you support the child’s skills in their own (non English) language?
4. Who would you consult if you were concerned about a child’s language or cognitive development?
5. How would you use props to stimulate children’s enjoyment of language and literature?
6. How would you provide opportunities for children to experience the consequences of their own actions and ideas?
7. How would you extend children’s attention span?
8. How would you provide opportunities for children to further explore their concept

Hi Diploma2011,

For these questions it's possible to get a few ideas from the EYLF Learning Outcomes. Your questions are typically referring to a child's language skills, so in EYLF terms - Learning Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators. If you have a look at this specific learning outcome it will provide you with examples on how this can be achieved and supported with a child. I do have a copy of the EYLF Learning Outcomes on this site, in Resources under Childcare Professional.

Here is the link (just scroll down to Learning Outcome 5): Understanding the EYLF

Hopefully this should help you with your questions,

Cheers :geek:,
