Please could someone tell me if I'm on the right track with these questions.

3. What standards, policies and procedures does the Education and Care Services National Regulations require an early childhood education and care service to develop in relation to diversity and inclusion?

The standards that an early childhood education and care service are required to develop in relation to diversity and inclusion are:
Standard 3.2 The environment is inclusive, promotes competence, independent exploration and learning through play.
Standard 6.2 Families are supported in their parenting role and their values and beliefs about child rearing are respected.

The policies and procedures that an early childhood education and care services are required to develop in relation to diversity and inclusion are: an Interactions with children policy, which includes the procedures on how to interact with children e.g. encouraging the child to express themselves and their opinions and in regard to their family and culture values. It also includes procedures on relationships in groups.

4. Briefly outline in your own words how the articles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child reflect an educator’s responsibilities in regards to inclusion and behaviour.

The UN rights of the child reflect an educator’s responsibilities in regards to inclusion and behaviour as it states in Article 2: All children have these rights, no matter who they are, where they live, what their parents do, what language they speak, what their religion is, whether they are a boy or girl, what their culture is, whether they have a disability, whether they are rich or poor. No child should be treated unfairly on any basis. (UN Convention on the Right of the Child.

5. Outline how Elements 1.1.5, 5.2.2 and 6.3.3 of the National Quality Standard guide educator practice in relation to guiding children’s behaviour and including all children in a service.

Elements 1.1.5, 5.2.2 and 6.3.3 guide educator practice in relation to guiding children’s behaviour and including all children in a service. As it states in 1.1.5 every child is support to participate in the program. 5.2.2 also says that each child is supported to manage their own behaviour, respond appropriately to the behaviour of others and communicate effectively to resolve conflicts. 6.3.3, insures that access to inclusion and support assistance is facilitated.

Yes, you're on the right track with your response!

For your first question (3) you could also add the following:

Element 1.1.2 Each child's current knowledge, ideas, abilities, interests and interests are the foundation of the program
Element 4.2 Educators, co-ordinators and staff members are respectful and ethical

In regards to policies and procedures you could also include:

-inclusion of all children
-anti bias policy
- cultural diversity policy etc

You can do a Google search to get a sample of a centre's policies and procedures which will help give you an idea on what policies and procedures a centre has in relation to diversity.

Hope this helps,
